Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you to everyone who supported Danii’s Charity at the Santa run on Sunday.  At the same time, we hosted a football tournament for the under 10s who train with Atletico.  Congratulations to the SIS Atletico team who achieved second place! We will be launching our very own SIS team to play in the league in 2018, so watch this space!

This year I have avoided being stitched up whilst being in a Santa suit, I have previously been stuck in a tree and taped to a wall.  This year however was the year of cold water with the plunge at the Christmas Fair and the polar bear!

On Monday the festivities kicked off with the Polar bear challenge early in the morning. I have to say this was an amazing way to start the day as the water was actually warm. It brought a great sense of relief and enjoyment to all who took part! Congratulations to the PE team for their leadership and organization and the students and staff who supported. A special mention to Javier Sanchez who was the only representative of our parent body. Next year, please join us for the event.

The EC1 and EC2, P1 and P2 winter shows also started on Monday, with a repeat show on Tuesday.  Thank you to parents and family members who turned up to enjoy these delightful and heart-warming performances and to the primary teams who supported and enabled our youngest students to take part and shine. Emma Butler would like to thank all the Primary teachers in helping to create these magical shows.

I would like to extend my warm wishes to you all and hope that the Christmas period provides some opportunity to spend time together as families and that the start of 2018 be a great success for you all. We will see you all bright and early on January 9th before 8.50pm for another amazing term at SIS!!

Best wishes

Jak Kearney
