+Psychology and Boarding Assistants - Intern Opportunities
The School: Situated on a spacious, leafy campus with impressive facilities, Sotogrande International School is an IB World day and boarding School offering the IB programmes from PYP in our Primary school, to MYP in our Middle School and through to the IB Diploma in our Upper school. Now in its 36th year, the school has grown steadily and enjoys an excellent reputation for quality education in Spain. We are not, however, just an academically focused school. Our drive is to educate the whole child and support students to find their own passions, drives and talents.

Sotogrande International School is a well-established IB World School where we are committed to developing our students as effective learners. This includes providing personalised learning approaches and supporting all students in their development including positive mental health.

We have a full/time Clinical Psychologist dedicated to our school community and applications are now invited from Psychology and Boarding Assistants to join us as interns.

The successful applicants will be expected to deliver the following:
1. Individual learning and behavioural support, including executive function coaching
2. Individual counselling, including supporting residential boarders
3. Educational and behavioural assessment
4. Small group work (social skills, etc)
5. Boarding duties

This post offers a unique opportunity to develop both residential support and clinical skills under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist and a team of very experienced education professionals.

A minimum of one hour’s individual supervision will be offered every week.
These roles will operate on a supervised Intern basis.

+Teacher of Upper Primary (9-11 year olds)
We are looking to recruit an innovative, flexible and creative teacher of Upper Primary (9-11 year olds). The successful individual should be flexible and collaborative and have experience in teaching all subjects within the Primary curriculum. A specialism in science and maths would be an advantage. Ideally candidates should have some PYP Curriculum knowledge/experience and ideally have completed or willing to complete the IBO Making The PYP Happen course before starting.

The applicant must be familiar with inquiry based learning, be experienced and skilled in differentiating classes to meet the needs of a diverse range of students and be able to work as part of a team.

The post – Teacher of English Language Development Progremme

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our English Language Development Programme. We currently have a vacancy for an English Language Teacher (EAL) to work across the Middle Years Programme, supporting and enhancing the learning of students who have English as an additional language. Candidates should have an appropriate teaching qualification and experience of working with secondary students, ideally in an international school environment.

The successful applicant would be employed on a self-employed (autonomo) basis.
